Den-Mar Farm is located in Southern Maryland. It was founded in 1975 by Duane and Margaret Ragan and originated with Morgan Horses. In 2006 Margaret and daughter Dena began breeding Welsh ponies. Margaret's son Stephen and daughter Diane round out the team involved in the operation of our farm. We have acquired a small select group of Welsh pony mares, with sought after bloodlines.
In 2007 we established our Welsh Pony breeding venture with the purchase of Hawkshill Glorious and Brooksfield Pink Champagne. We since have decided to head in the direction of Section B medium Welsh, so our Section A Welsh have been sold to new homes. We recently added Benlea Laureate to our farm. As we grow, expect to see select foals, more ridden ponies and more stock for sale. We will also be showing our ponies and as our little riders grow, they will be showing them under saddle. We want our ponies to be suitable for sport, show or family endeavors. Please join us and our ponies as we continue our 37 years of involvement in the equine industry.
Dena has started her photography and commissioned oil painting again. Now that the kids are getting bigger, it is giving her the time to work on art and photography once more. To see the most recent painting, look on the Morgan page. There is a new oil painting of Classic that shows what a commissioned oil painting would look like. You can also visit www.denaragan.com to view photographs - many that you might see on this web page-- and purchase photos. Use the contact info for inquiring about commissioning an oil painting.
If you wish to contact Margaret Ragan or Dena Ragan Radosevic, please use the contact information found on the Contact page. Check back often as we try to update the site as soon as new events unfold.
